Monkey & Shark
A tale of Monkey and his friend "Shark"

Scene 1

The monkeys lived in an immense mukuyu tree which grew by the edge of the sea; half of its branches being over the water and half over the land.

Scene 2

A monkey and a shark strike up an unlikely friendship. The Shark will come on daily basis asking his friend, Monkey to throw him food from the tree.

Kima, you have done me many kindnesses. I would like you to go with me to my home, that I may repay you. Shark said, and Monkey agreed to follow him.

Shark foolishly told Monkey the truth on their way, and monkey said You should have told me before, my heart is always on the tree, turn back if you really need it.

As Shark lifted up his head to see what was causing the delay, Monkey shouted from the tree top You foolish traitor! climb the tree and have my heart.

Being an Alleged witch, Oyinlola a pricess of the Ancient Oyo kingdom was banished to the Akala forest.

Scene 2

Oyinlola kept wondering in the forest but none of the beast were able to hurt her; even the Akala bird which was believed to be a powerful bird that eat witches at that time.

While sleeping under a tree at night, Obaseku (a mighty hunter who was also a prince) saw her and took her to his hut

Obaseku developed interest in Oyinlola due to her cultured attitudes she displayed while staying with him.

Oyinlola end-up being Obaseku's wife and they gave birth to two sons that became the two royal family in Eruwa till this day: first son was named Akalako (Akala bird rejected this) and second was Olaribikusi (Wealth find a dwelling)

Oyinlola style of hawking Eru wa ni bi o that is "rosted yam is available here" This style later led to name of the location which later become a big town "Eruwa"
